A Glimpse Into My Day

I was at PT today, working hard on the leg press, set to 75lbs. My PT asked how much weight I was doing, I told her, she responded "good, keep it light and easy"...I responded "this is easy? -I'm busting my ass"! I am pathetic!

No but I'm guessing your PT never had a hip arthroscopy, perhaps she's only rehabbed her way out of a broken nail.. my feeling with these guys is as part of their qualifying degree they should suffer some injury that they have to frustratingly rehab their way out of, a dose of realism; and I apply the same sentiment to surgeons!!
Sorry, I'm having a bad day, lots of pain and a surgeon who couldn't care less, so forgive my impatience with these people!!

Louisa, you would be surprised how many PTs have dealt with their own injuries and surgeries. Look at me, 4 hip arthrosopies under my belt! My PT has had shoulder surgery and knee surgery, one of my collegues has had 2 shoulder surgeries, another 4 ACL reonstructions and a hip arthroscopy. Some people are inspired by the rehab they get and become PTs, others recognize their injuries quickly and know what can happen if you don't get it taken care of quickly, and many PTs are very athletic and prone to injuries (I do not fall into this category!!)
I'm sorry that you are having a bad day and that your surgeon is acting like an ass!
